Bio

C. F. Callihan II is a nationally recognized fundraising strategist, speaker, and nonprofit leader with more than 15 years of experience advancing philanthropy through intentional donor engagement, authentic storytelling, and strategic planning. He is the founder of Heart Strategy Impact, a consultancy focused on helping nonprofit organizations raise more money with less stress by building sustainable fundraising systems centered on heart, strategy and impact.

Callihan's career is marked by leadership and volunteer roles at a wide array of nonprofit organizations, including Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park, Lexington History Museum, Indianapolis Museum of Art, Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Music Academy of the West, University of Louisville, Seven Counties Services, Centerstone, Park Center, Andrew Jackson Foundation, Nashville Public Library, Walk Bike Nashville, Sarabande Books, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Nashville. 

Passion

His passion for philanthropy extends beyond professional work, as he co-founded [give] 502, a young professionals' giving circle in Louisville, Kentucky, which raised $100,000 to support nonprofits through competitive grant awards. He volunteers his time with Indiana University’s Lilly Family School of Philanthropy Alumni Board, the University of Kentucky Office of LGBT Resources and the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Greater Nashville Chapter. His unwavering commitment to community impact, coupled with his ability to cultivate strong donor relationships, has made him a trusted advisor and leader in the nonprofit sector.

Personal

C.F. loves travel, having visited 49 states in one year. If he’s not in the air, he’s spending his time in Nashville, enjoying long walks through Shelby Bottoms Park, reading avidly and spending time his with beloved border terrier, Rigby.
